A major road in and out of a city, near a hospital, could be partially closed for up to week after a water main burst.
It happened on the the A1307 - Hills Road - at the junction for Red Cross Lane in Cambridge in the early hours of the morning.
Cambridge Water said the road was closed in both directions and that work to repair the pipe had started.
The water company said some some customers were experiencing low water pressure as a result of the incident.

The burst main was reported in the early hours of Thursday
A Cambridgeshire County Council spokesperson said it was aware of the burst.
It was located at the junction of Red Cross Lane and Nightingale Avenue - close to Addenbrooke's Hospital.
The council said a diversion route had been put in place via the A11, A505 and A1301, going through Great Shelford.
The spokesperson added: "There is significant damage to the road surface, which will require repair once the water main has been fixed."
