A man has been charged with attempted murder in Dudley after a firearm was seized from a car in Wolverhampton.

Leon Haughton from Wolverhampton was apprehended in Great Hampton Street in the city after the shooting on 6 April.

The victim later arrived at a hospital with gunshot wounds, and continues to recover from his injuries, West Midlands Police said.

Mr Haughton, 34, who is also charged with possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life and possession of a prohibited weapon, is due to appear before Birmingham Magistrates' Court later.
