Which routes will benefit from bus funding boost?
- Published
Details have been revealed about how a £3.257m government investment will be used to boost bus services in Herefordshire.
Earlier this week, the unitary council welcomed the funding, saying the services were "vitally important" for the county and that the cash would help connect "people and communities".
A number of routes are set to benefit from more regular and, in some cases, later buses.
There will be an hourly service for the number 476 between Hereford and Ledbury, as well as the reinstatement of an hourly service on the number 492.
Funding will also be used to extend the route for the 78X to Shell Store.
Herefordshire Council said those using the 492 route would be able to access a later afternoon bus.
The number 36 bus will increase to a two-hourly service during afternoon peak times and Sundays.
The 420 service between Bromyard and Worcester will be reinstated, while later journeys will be commissioned on the 461.
Funding will continue to support the Sunday services for the 420 and 476 buses as well, the council added.
