A road has been closed after a pedestrian was hit by a car outside a prison near Retford.
Nottinghamshire Police said it was called to the Straight Mile, outside HMP Ranby, at 07:56 GMT on Monday following reports of a serious crash.
The force said it had closed part of the Straight Mile in Nottinghamshire.
It advised motorists to avoid the area while investigations were carried out.
