Man faces no police action after fatal fire

Five teenagers remain on police bail after a body was found following a house fire in Bideford

A man arrested in connection with a fatal property fire will face no further police action, a force has said.
A murder investigation was launched into a fire at a terraced house on Honestone Street in Bideford on 28 October and a number of arrests were made.
A man in his 30s, from Bideford, was arrested on suspicion of arson with intent to endanger life and was released on police bail. Devon and Cornwall Police said following an extensive investigation, the man will face no further police action.
Four boys and a girl aged between 13 and 15, all from north Devon, were arrested on suspicion of arson with intent to endanger life and remain on police bail.
On 2 November a body was recovered from the property once part of the building was deemed safe to enter.
Work to formally identify the body is still ongoing, police said.
