DNA tests on a bone found in a garden have concluded it came from a man.

Cambridgeshire Police was called to John Amner Close, in Ely, on 24 September, and a human bone at the scene was sent for further analysis.

The force said: "The DNA is now being compared to the DNA database and the missing persons database.

“A scene remains in place at the address while these checks and further tests on the bone take place.”

The force said the bone was less than 100 years old.
