Woman suffers life-changing injuries in crash

A suspected drink-driver has been arrested after a woman was seriously injured in a crash, police said.
Devon and Cornwall Police said the incident involving a single car happened on the A3022 Dartmouth Road in Paignton at about 21:40 BST on Tuesday.
The force said a local woman in her 30s was taken to Derriford Hospital in Plymouth with life-changing injuries.
A man in his 30s from Bury, Lancashire, was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and driving whilst unfit through drink.
He remains in custody and an appeal for witnesses has been issued by police.
The road was closed while an investigation took place at the scene but has since reopened.
