Motorcyclist seriously injured in crash with car

A motorcyclist has been seriously injured in a crash with a car.

West Midlands Ambulance Service said it was called at about 08:30 BST on Monday to Wednesfield Road in Wolverhampton.

Two ambulances as well as a trauma doctor and critical care paramedic attended, a spokesperson said.

The injured man received treatment at the scene before being taken to hospital.

A woman - whom the ambulance service said was the driver of the car - and two children were assessed and did not require further treatment.

A spokesperson for West Midlands Police said: “Wednesfield Road was closed after a motorcyclist was in collision with a car.

“The rider was taken to hospital and the driver of the car is assisting our inquiries.”
