A company in Guernsey has partnered up with a local charity to announce plans for an overnight sleep-out fundraiser.

Skipton International said it was working with Caritas to raise "vital funds" for the charity’s modular housing project.

The Big Skipton Sleep Out will take place at the King George V (KGV) Community Centre on Friday 24 January from 19:00 GMT until 06:30 the following day.

The charity recently announced its ambition to raise £1m and secure land to build a modular housing community.

It said it was hoped the development would provide accommodation for people experiencing homelessness as they get back on their feet, whilst providing them with a sense of community.
