Two men have been arrested following reports of a fight in Nottingham.

Armed officers were called to Lower Parliament Street at about 11:40 GMT on Thursday.

A cordon was put in place on nearby Hockley and a machete was recovered, Nottinghamshire Police said.

A 31-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of affray later the same day, while a 28-year-old man was detained on suspicion of the same offence on Friday, the force added.

Both men remain in custody.
