Teen arrested and bailed over fire at derelict pub

Police investigating a suspected arson at a derelict pub have arrested and bailed a 15-year-old boy in connection with the incident.

The blaze, which caused "substantial damage" to the roof and the interior of the former Talisman pub in Corby, Northamptonshire, happened on the evening of 26 August.

The teenager was arrested on suspicion of arson and has been released on bail while further inquiries are conducted.

Northamptonshire Police is continuing its appeal for information, and it urged anyone who may have details that could help to come forward.

As part of the investigation, police will be in town to speak to the public on Friday.

Officers will be stationed between TK Maxx and Primark at Willow Place Shopping Centre between 09:00 BST and 13:00 BST, and at the Boden Close car park from 14:00 BST until 16:00 BST.
