Park rape victim subjected to 'horrendous ordeal'

A woman who was raped in a Paisley park was subjected to a "horrendous ordeal", police said.
The incident happened in the Renfrewshire town's Brodie Park at about 04:30.
Officers said the woman did not require hospital treatment but was left "extremely frightened".
The suspect is described as white, in his early 20s and spoke with a local accent. He was wearing dark grey clothing.
Det Inspector Nicky Beattie said said: "This was a horrendous ordeal for the woman, and we are doing everything we can to trace the man responsible.
"Extensive inquiries are ongoing and there will be an increased police presence in the area and visible patrols in the park this week.
"I would urge anyone with information or concerns to please approach these officers."
Police also urged anyone with relevant dashcam footage or private CCTV to get in touch, external.
