Trains disrupted after vehicle hits railway bridge

Rail services between East Anglia and London were disrupted on Monday afternoon after a vehicle hit a bridge in Norfolk.

Greater Anglia said the bridge between Norwich and Diss was hit at about 16:15 BST.

The services affected , externalwere those between Norwich and London Liverpool Street, and between Norwich and Stansted Airport.

Greater Anglia said the disruption lasted for about an hour while safety checks were carried out by Network Rail.
