Man arrested on suspicion of murdering woman

A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder following the death of a woman.

Thames Valley Police said the ambulance service was called to a property in Holywell Place, in the Springfield area of Milton Keynes, in the early hours of Saturday morning.

A woman in her 40s was taken to hospital where she later died.

A man in his 40s was arrested on suspicion of murder on Sunday, and remains in custody.

Det Ch Insp Mike Roddy, from Thames Valley Police, said: "We have launched a murder investigation, which may be concerning to the wider public, however, we have made an arrest and are not looking for anyone else in connection with this incident."

The man and woman were known to each other, he added.
