Woman critically injured after mobility scooter hit by van

The junction between Caledonia Road and Cumberland Street was closed for four hours after the crash

A woman is in hospital with life-threatening injuries after being struck by a van while riding a mobility scooter in Glasgow.
The 65-year-old was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital following the collision on the junction between Cumberland Street and the A730 Caledonia Road at about 14:30 on Saturday.
A white Renault Trafic van was also involved in the incident and the road was closed for about four hours. No-one else was injured.
Police Scotland appealed for anyone with dashcam footage of the area at the time of the crash, external to come forward.
