The first snow of winter has brought picturesque views to the towns and countryside across north-west England.

While the weather conditions caused some disruption to travel, it also offered some people a chance to capture a flurry of beautiful images.

Contributors to BBC Weather Watchers shared what they saw earlier.

A selection of their photos, taken from Sefton to Stockport and from Chorley to Worsley, revealed stunning snowy scenes across the region.
