Firefighters put out an electrical fire at a home in Perranporth on Thursday evening, Cornwall's fire service said.

Cornwall Fire and Rescue said crews from Perranporth and Tolvaddon were called to a fire at a residential property shortly after 17:05 GMT.

The service said firefighters used breathing apparatus and a carbon dioxide extinguisher to deal with the fire, which had spread throughout the property.

The National Grid was called to assist.
