A man has been charged with two counts of attempted murder after a woman in her 50s was hit by a car in a pub car park.

Asa Tuohey, 26, has been charged over the incident at the Cock Beck pub in Pendas Way in Crossgates, Leeds, on 6 December.

Officers were called just before midnight to a collision which left the woman with serious injuries, according to West Yorkshire Police.

Mr Tuohey, of Langbar Green in Swarcliffe, is also charged with the attempted murder of a man in his 40s and is due to appear at Leeds Magistrates' Court later.

A police spokesperson said Tuohey was also charged with dangerous driving, driving while disqualified, driving while unfit through drink and driving without insurance.

He has been charged with wounding with intent in relation to the woman's injuries.
