Army bomb experts at the scene of Friday's alert

A viable device has been removed by the Army during a security alert in west Belfast.

The object was found at Ardnamonagh Parade in the Turf Lodge area on Friday morning.

A number of residents were moved from their homes due to the alert. The device was taken away for further forensic testing.

They have now have returned home and all roads have been re-opened. Police have appealed for anyone with any information to contact them.
