Thousands of people enjoyed a seaside kite festival over the weekend.

The Redcar Kite Festival, now in its second year, is one of the biggest in the country and features spectacular displays.

Thick fog on Saturday did not prevent people from turning out to enjoy the kites and the market.

Organisers estimate that more than 30,00 people attended over the course of the weekend.
