Christmas tractor run set to tour the island

As Christmas draws closer, so too does annual equally-festive tractor tour around the Isle of Man.

On Saturday 6 December, a procession of tractors will skirt the south of the island, before touring along the northern coast the following day - with both runs finishing in the capital, Douglas.

Organised by the Isle of Man Young Farmers, the 2025 Christmas Tractor Run will raise money for charities Isle Stand up to Suicide and the Isle of Man Agricultural Benevolent Trust.

Here's all you need to know about the routes and where you can see them.

Saturday's route

Port Erin

Tractors will first gather on Church Road at 16:45 GMT.

At 18:15, the four-wheeled tinselled peloton will turn right onto Bridson Street and head onto Station Road before reaching Castletown Road.

The tractors hope to arrive at the Castletown roundabout at 18:35, before turning left onto the A29, then right through Colby.

Ballabeg

The route will head to Ballabeg at 18:50 - to then take the Ballakeighen Road and move to Ballakeighan corner onto the A5 Castletown bypass.

The tractors will then turn onto the Arbory Road, leading them to Farrants Way.

Castletown

By 19:00, the tour will reach Castletown, passing through Castletown Square 15 minutes later via Castle Street and Bridge Street, before heading onto the A5.

Ballasalla

The four-wheeled festive cheer will reach the village by 19:30 before turning left at the roundabouts and travelling on to Cross Four Ways.

Foxdale

After leaving Ballasalla, the convoy aims to reach Foxdale at 20:00, turning left onto Station Road and head up towards Tynwald Hill.

St John's

This marks the half-way mark of their first route where the tractors will head from turn right at St John's onto the A1 to Douglas at 20:15.

Crosby and Braddan

The procession will enter Crosby at 20:30 and then onwards to Union Mills.

At 20:50, the tractors will reach Braddan Bridge on the Peel Road before travelling to Quarterbridge, turning left onto the Quarterbridge Road and through St Ninian's traffic lights.

The tour finishes with a trip along Glencrutchery Road to the TT Grandstand at 21:00.

Sunday's route

St John's

The festive road tour will be back for another day on Sunday 7 December - first starting for the road at Tynwald Hill in St John's at 16:15, taking the A1 to Peel on the west coast.

Peel

Reaching Queens Drive at 16:30, followed by Station Road five minutes later, the tractors will turn onto the East Quay and covering the distance of Peel Promenade.

The festively-clad vehicles will depart Peel at 16:50 via Walpole Road - before heading towards Kirk Michael along the A4 Coast Road.

Kirk Michael, Ballaugh and Sulby

Reaching Kirk Michael by 17:10, the procession will travel through Ballaugh Bridge at 17:25.

As the convoy continues north, Sulby residents can expect to see the festive attraction at about 17:40 before it continue on its way to Ramsey.

Ramsey

Or arrival in the northern town, the vehicles will travel down Parliament Street to Market Square at 18:00, pausing for a break.

The tractors will then leave the town in their rear view mirrors half an hour later as they head onto the A2 Coast Road via the Queen's Promenade.

Laxey and Onchan

The tour is set to arrive into Laxey Village at 19:00, with the front of the procession reaching Onchan Village by 19:30.

Douglas

The festive tractors will again be lighting up Glenclutchery Road as the 2025 dispaly draws to a close at the TT Grandstand once more at 20:00.
