A Jersey animal charity has appointed a new CEO in its plans to invest and deliver stronger services.

The JSPCA said Pam Aubert joined the charity with a wealth of knowledge and leadership experience.

Ms Aubert said she was incredibly privileged to be taking on the role working alongside a dedicated team of people who were committed and passionate about the charity.

The charity said she was taking over from Tom Noel in May who had been interim CEO for six months.

'Deep compassion'

Ms Aubert, who most recently led the Jersey Cancer Relief as CEO, said: "Together, we will reconnect with our community, provide a voice for the animals in our care and create a sustainable and resilient future for the JSPCA."

Mr Noel said his time at the charity was rewarding and his replacement would not only bring the right skill set but also "deep compassion, a collaborative mindset, and a genuine passion for helping charities thrive".

"I have no doubt that she will lead the organisation with vision and dedication," he said.

"This isn't the end of my journey with the JSPCA; it's just the beginning.

"I hope to continue contributing by standing for election to join the Committee in May."

'Look forward'

President of the JSPCA Ben Shenton added: "The charity is in a critical phase of change.

"The JSPCA can now look forward to stability, with effective change and strong leadership."
