Boat engines worth thousands stolen in break-in

Three boat engines worth "several thousands of pounds" have been stolen during a burglary in a Cornish village, police have said.

The outboard engines were stolen from a marine equipment supplier in London Apprentice, near St Austell, between 18:30 BST on 7 May and 09:00 on 8 May, Devon and Cornwall Police said.

Officers said "tens of thousands of pounds of damage" was also caused to the boats they were taken from.

The engines were of Suzuki or Yamaha make, weighing between 200kg and 300kg, police said.

Fencing and CCTV cameras were also damaged during the break-in, police said.

Anyone who witnessed the burglary was asked to contact police.
