Arrests after boy seriously injured in hit-and-run

A boy has been left with potentially life-changing injuries after being involved in a hit-and-run crash.
Dorset Police said the incident took place on Holdenhurst Road, in Bournemouth, at 11:38 BST on Monday.
The boy was taken to hospital after being struck by a white BMW 118 series which failed to stop at the scene, the force added.
The car was later located and a man and a woman have been arrested in connection with the incident, where they remain in police custody.
The road was closed following the incident as officers carried out investigations, with an increased police presence still in place.
The boy's family have been informed about the incident.
