The mother of a teenager vlogger who died of cancer has taken on a London to Brighton charity walk in her memory.

Charlotte Eades, from Brighton, East Sussex, died of a brain tumour aged 19 in 2016, with her videos raising awareness of the condition reaching millions on YouTube.

Her mother Alex is walking from Kings College Hospital in London, where Charlotte was treated, to Hove, leaving Thursday night and arriving on Saturday.

Ms Eades is also walking to raise awareness of breast cancer, having just been diagnosed with the condition.

A charity set up in Charlotte's memory has already raised £300,000 for cancer research.

Alex Eades said her stage two breast cancer was spotted during a routine mammogram in April. She has since had surgery..

She said she has kept fit during her treatment by walking 30,000 steps a day and completing 5km runs.

The walk itself is raising more money for brain cancer research, which she described as her "number one priority".

In 2016 she and Charlotte's brother Miles walked the South Downs Way from Eastbourne to Winchester to raise money for the charity.
