Motorcyclist seriously hurt in crash with car

A motorcyclist has been seriously injured after his bike collided with a car near Cambridge.

It happened on The Avenue, in Girton, close to the junction with the A1307, at about 17:00 GMT on Friday and involved a white Vauxhall Corsa and a grey Yamaha motorcycle.

Cambridgeshire Police said the motorcyclist, a man, 20, from Cambridge, was taken to Addenbrooke's Hospital with serious injuries.

The Corsa driver, a woman, 22, from Whittlesford, had minor injuries.

Police have appealed for witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage to get in touch.
