'Live life to fullest' vow for terminally ill girl

Harleigh Tidd has been in and out of hospital for most of her life

A mother has pledged that her family will "live every day to its fullest" after doctors revealed her three-year-old daughter has just weeks left to live.
Gateshead toddler Harleigh Tidd, who has been in and out of hospital for most of her life, has a rare condition where her lungs fill with fluid and which is now affecting her other organs.
Her mother Stacie Hammond said: "Everybody had tried everything and we'd done everything that we can."
Thanking those who have helped raise money for a dream Disneyland trip for the little girl, Ms Hammond said the decision had been made to "just enjoy the time that we've got left with Harleigh and make as many memories as we can".
The toddler's condition was first spotted when Ms Hammond's 36-week pregnancy scan showed a "dark patch" by the baby's heart.
Harleigh has had multiple chest drains fitted, but complications mean she is now on her last one and working with an end of life care team.
Ms Hammond said her and Harleigh's father's lives were "absolutely shattered" when medical teams told them they could do no more.

Ms Hammond said it was "actually a miracle" that Harleigh had reached her third birthday, which they had celebrated with a Minnie Mouse-themed party.
She said: "We're going to live every day to its fullest and make some amazing memories."
Thousands of pounds have been raised for the family to take the trip to Disneyland.
"They're memories that are going to be good for Harleigh to have, but they're going to be a lifetime memories for us as a family," Ms Hammond said.
"We'll never be able to thank everybody enough for what they've done to help us make the remaining few weeks, months with Harleigh as magical and memorable as we can make them."
