A drug dealer who ran a "one-stop cocaine shop" between North and West Yorkshire has been jailed.

Frankie Lee Morrison, 20, travelled between Leeds and Scarborough to sell drugs he advertised through text messages, North Yorkshire Police said.

When officers raided an address linked to him in Leeds they recovered cocaine, drug dealing paraphernalia and weapons, including a machete and a sword.

Morrison, of no fixed address, was sentenced to two years and eight months at York Crown Court after pleading guilty to possessing cocaine with intent to supply, being concerned in the supply of cocaine and possessing cannabis.

The force said an investigation into Morrison's activity began after officers uncovered a new county line offering drugs for sale between West Yorkshire and Scarborough.

Intelligence analysts were able to prove Morrison was behind the operation by piecing together phone and travel data, putting him at the centre of the drug line.

Det Con Alfie Thomlinson said Morrison showed a "total disregard for the law" when setting up a "one-stop cocaine shop" in Scarborough and Leeds.

"For several months, Morrison thought he had got away with it as his enterprise began to expand, but little did he know, we had him in our sights, watching his every move and gathering evidence to stop him in his tracks," he said.

"County line drug dealers like him cause misery in society taking advantage of vulnerable people and create a ripple effect of further criminality."
