A short service has been held to dedicate the Field of Remembrance at the war memorial in St Peter Port.

Bailiff Sir Richard McMahon, the Royal British Legion Guernsey and other representatives of service organisations attended the service, which began at 13:00 BST.

People were asked not to place their remembrance crosses in the field until after the dedication.

Guernsey's Act of Remembrance will also take place at the war memorial in St Peter Port as usual on 10 November.
