A man in his 30s has been airlifted to hospital with stab wounds after a robbery in Worcester.
Police, who are looking to trace four men, said the man was attacked on Wednesday afternoon and his bike and phone stolen in an alleyway linking Windermere Drive to Sainsburys car park in Blackpole.
The man was taken to hospital by air ambulance with stab wounds after the attack at about 15:40 BST. Officers said he remains in hospital in a stable condition with injuries not thought to be life-threatening.
Det Sgt Andrew Todd said police wanted to trace four men seen running from the alleyway in the direction of Quenington Close and Randwick Drive - one of them on the stolen silver bike.
Appealing for witnesses, he said: "We are carrying out extensive enquiries to locate the suspects, including examining CCTV and completing house-to-house checks.
"We know this will be a worrying incident for the local community and there will be an increased police presence in the local area."
Anyone who has information is urged to contact the force or Crimestoppers.
