Marius Ionut Dencea pleaded guilty at Hull Crown Court

A man has pleaded guilty after a crash left a 29-year-old woman dead and a two-year-old boy seriously injured.

Marius Ionut Dencea, 34, was driving on the M180 on 5 January when the car left the road and hit a tree near Barnetby le Wold, near Immingham, Humberside Police said.

Dencea, of Berkeley Street, Scunthorpe, pleaded guilty at Hull Crown Court on Friday to causing death by dangerous driving and causing serious injury by dangerous driving.

A sentencing date has been set for 20 June.
