A man has been jailed for six months after being caught drink-driving twice.
Slagian Hreniuc, 39, of Fen Road, Cambridge, was pulled over in his Mercedes C220 by police in the city at about 11:00 GMT on 27 January.
He told them he had been drinking vodka, and in custody was found to be more than twice the legal limit of 35 microgrammes of alcohol per 100 millilitres of breath.
Hreniuc had already been given a suspended sentence for driving over the alcohol limit, and at Peterborough Magistrates' Court on 29 January he was jailed after admitting to driving while disqualified, drink-driving and having insufficient tread on his car's tyres.
He was sentenced to two months in jail for the January offences, to be served consecutively to the previous suspended sentence of four months - totalling six months.
He was disqualified from driving for three years and three months.
PC Andy Holliday, from Cambridgeshire Constabulary, said: “Hreniuc has shown total disregard for the sentences imposed on him by the courts and continued to put himself and other road users in danger."
