Police have responded to reports of drug use and rowdy behaviour

  • Published

Police patrols have been increased and warning signs put up in a street in Glenfield to deter drug dealing.

Leicestershire Police said there had been "numerous reports" of vehicles involved in drug use parked in and around Frith Close.

Reports also described rowdy behaviour lasting into the early hours, especially at weekends.

Signs advising of a police operation, in which vehicle registrations may be recorded, have been placed in the area, which includes homes overlooking a green space.

Police said it hoped the measures would force criminals to move away and reduce anti-social behaviour.

Residents have also been urged to continue reporting problems so police can monitor areas of concern.
