Drivers have been warned that a Jersey road has been closed after an incident left the surface "dangerously slippery".

Police said "due to a road incident" the La Route de La Hougue Bie from Rue de Carrefour au Clerq and Le Catillion had been closed.

"The road is dangerously slippery," said a spokesperson.

"We want to remind people not to ignore the road closed signs in place."
