More streets on Hull's Kingswood ward will soon benefit from a council-led transformation project.

Hull City Council's Love Your Neighbourhood project will focus on Hemble Way, Brookfield Close, Parcevall Drive, John Newton Way (West Carr) and the Bude Park footpaths.

The council said a "detailed patch walk around the area," highlighted these streets as particularly affected by litter, weeds, graffiti, and overgrown trees and hedges.

Councillor Charles Quinn, portfolio holder for the environment, said he hope residents would "feel a renewed sense of pride in their community".

The work will take place from 14 October to 25 October.

The council previously carried out a similar tidy up on Bowmont Way, Blackhall Close, Charnwood Close, and Blackwater Way in July.

Local residents can also get involved with the project by helping with litter picking, and the removal of graffiti.

Quinn added: “As well as caring for the environment, this project aims to bring the community together by helping and encouraging residents to get involved too.

He said residents can help "make a visible difference" as well as "an impactful change in the place they live".
