Firefighters have been tackling a fire at a storage unit in Blackpool.

Eight fire engines were called to the scene of the blaze at an industrial estate on Hoo Hill Lane in the Layton area of the town at about 06:00 BST, Lancashire Fire & Rescue Service said.

Various items in the storage unit including carpets and furniture were destroyed by the flames.

The fire service said an investigation has started into the cause but it was not believed to be deliberate.
