Roadworks linked to a housing development are "unquestionably affecting business", a company owner has said.
A section of the A4 between Keynsham and Saltford has been reduced to one lane from 09:30 to 15:00 BST, since the 8 September until January, as developers build the entrance to a housing development.
Saltford Parish Council said they'd raised concerns with contractors for the developer, Curo, about pedestrian safety near Wellsway School. Curo has been approached for comment.
Euan Hulme-McCall, the general manager at Flourish Foodhall & Kitchen said: "We aren't seeing the customer numbers we would expect for this time of year."

Housing Association Curo has secured permission to build 208 homes on the site, of which 62 properties will be affordable.
Mr Hulme-McCall added he was worried about their Christmas trade.
He is calling for more consultation with local businesses in future to limit disruption.
The works are expected to last around eight months, with plans to restore full pedestrian and vehicle access between 24 November to 1 January 2026.
A spokesperson for the school said: "A large number of students at Wellsway School and IKB Academy are affected by these lengthy road works."
They added that the school was working to make sure families understood the changes and "the need to be especially cautious" and "allow extra time for their journeys".
A member of staff at Snapdragons Nursery said: "When we come in it's with the two lanes, so it's not as bad as we first thought it might be."
"Traffic lights go up between 9am and 3pm, so when the girls go out for lunch, then it's horrendous."

La Famiglia restaurant previously told the BBC about their worries about suffering lunchtime trade.
Erald from restaurant said: "Traffic has definitely gone up," which was affecting staff and suppliers, but that it was "too early" to see the impact on business.
