Six due in court after Rotherham hotel violence

Six more people have been charged in connection with violent disorder after a mob stormed a hotel and attacked police in a South Yorkshire village on Sunday.
About 700 people were outside the Holiday Inn Express at Manvers in Wath-upon-Dearne, near Rotherham, following a far-right demonstration when trouble flared, leaving 12 police officers injured.
Three men and two boys, aged 16 and 17, have been charged with violent disorder after the violence, which led to 240 asylum seekers staying at the hotel being moved to new accommodation.
A fourth man has been charged with violent disorder and the assault of an emergency worker. All are due to appear before magistrates in Sheffield.
Those due in court are:
Lee Crisp, 42, of Mount Road, Grimethorpe, is charged with violent disorder
Christopher Rodgers, 38, of Millmoor Road, Barnsley, is charged with violent disorder
Liam Grey, 20, of Randerson Drive, is charged with violent disorder
Joshua Simpson, 26, of Sherbrook Street, Lincoln, is charged with violent disorder and assault of an emergency worker
Two boys aged 16 and 17, who can't be named for legal reasons, are also charged with violent disorder
A seventh person, Curtis Coulson, 30, of Water Slacks Road, Sheffield, was charged with affray on Monday and appeared before Sheffield Magistrates' Court.
Mr Coulson, who was charged in connection with a protest in Sheffield, was remanded into custody until his next court appearance on Friday.
