Man charged over attempted murder on bus

A man has been charged in connection with an attempted murder on a bus in South Lanarkshire.

The 32-year-old was arrested in connection with the attack that left a 35-year-old man in a critical condition.

A 15-year-old boy was also seriously assaulted in the incident near the Thornton Road area of Kirkmuirhill on 26 July.

The man is due to appear at Hamilton Sheriff Court on Monday.
