Teenager in hospital after 'targeted' stabbing

Police say the 17-year-old victim's injuries are not life-threatening

A teenage boy has been taken to hospital after being stabbed in what police have described as a "targeted attack".

Emergency services were called to Ballifield Drive, in Sheffield, at 00:17 BST following reports of a person with a knife.

South Yorkshire Police said the 17-year-old boy's injuries were not thought to be life-threatening.

The force has appealed for witnesses of anyone with any information about the incident to come forward.
