A fire service says around 75% of a property along a historic street has been destroyed after a roof fire.

Dorset & Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service were called to reports of the blaze at a building along Church Street in Bradford-on-Avon at 02:13 BST.

Seven fire engines were called to put out the flames and firefighters worked to salvage what they could from the property.

Nobody is believed to have been hurt and crews started to dampen down by 11:00, with an investigation underway to find the cause of the fire.
