Body found in river search for missing man

Emergency service searches started immediately after reports of a man entering the water

A body has been pulled from the River Severn following a search for a missing 19-year-old man.

West Mercia Police said formal identification had not yet taken place.

The force received a call just before 01:00 BST on Saturday to say a man had entered the water near Upton Bridge, in Upton-upon-Severn.

Police and fire crews worked with volunteers in boats to search the area.

Flowers have been left nearby on Upton Bridge.
