Two arrested after man stabbed in Crawley

Two people have been arrested after a man was stabbed in Crawley on Saturday.

Emergency services were called to Dalewood Gardens at about 4pm to reports of a stabbing, Sussex Police said.

The victim was treated at the scene by paramedics before being taken to hospital with serious injuries.

A 45-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit grievous bodily harm with intent, while a 45-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.

Both suspects remain in custody, the force said.

Det Insp Jason Parry said police believed the incident was "isolated" and that the three people were known to each other.

“I would like to thank the public for their patience and understanding while we responded to this incident, which I’m sure will have been alarming to the local community," he said.
