Pedestrian, 80, seriously hurt in collision

An 80-year-old man was left seriously injured after being involved in a collision with a car in Leeds.

It happened at about 21:35 BST on Friday in Pennington Court on Hunslet Hall Road in Beeston.

A white Volkswagen Crafter was reversing into the road from Disraeli Gardens when the collision involving the pedestrian occurred, according to West Yorkshire Police.

Officers said the man was currently being treated in hospital and remained “very poorly”.

Anyone with any information about what happened, or footage from the scene, was asked to get in touch with police.
