A pedestrian has died in a crash involving a car in Surrey.
Emergency services were called to the A30 London Road in Camberley shortly before 22:00 BST on Saturday following a report of a crash.
The pedestrian, a man in his 30s, was pronounced dead at the scene.
“We ask you to be considerate of the family at this time, and to not speculate,” a police spokesman said.
The driver of the vehicle stopped at the scene and has assisted police with enquiries.
Road closures were in place overnight while officers carried out the initial stages of their investigation. The closures have since been lifted.
South East Coast Ambulance Service also attended the scene.
Officers are appealing for witnesses in an attempt to trace the pedestrian's movements before the crash.
Anyone travelling on the A30 between 21:00 and 22:00 on Saturday or who saw the man walking on the carriageway is urged to come forward.
