Boy suffers head injuries in alleged racist attack

A boy suffered head injuries in a suspected racially aggravated assault.
Cumbria Police said officers were called to Lismore Place, Carlisle, at 15:00 GMT on Wednesday and a youth was arrested.
The injured boy, from the city, was treated in Cumberland Infirmary and has since been discharged, the Cumbria force said.
The boy arrested on suspicion of racially aggravated assault and actual bodily harm has been released on bail. Police said a third boy was involved but was not injured.
