Five people have been arrested following a shooting at a house.

A gun was fired at a property on Riccarton Close in Roseworth, Stockton, on Wednesday night.

The person inside the house was unharmed but a door and window were damaged, Cleveland Police said. An 18-year-old man from the Norton area of the town was arrested on suspicion of possessing a firearm to endanger life.

Three women, aged 18, 29 and 41, have been arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender and possession of an offensive weapon, while a 19-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to supply class A drugs.

All were taken into police custody for questioning.
