Sudden shutdown leaves young footballers in limbo

An indoor football centre in Lincoln has closed suddenly and has left people who had booked events there in limbo.
A sign at the site said it was closed because of "unforeseen circumstances".
The venue's suspension was “devastating” according to Matt Hall who had a party booked for his seven-year old son.
The BBC has tried to contact the owners of Active Arena, but have had no response.
'No communication'
Matt Hall arranged a football-themed party for his son at Active Arena for 12 October.
Mr Hall said he had heard through friends that the arena was closed but had “no communication” from the venue's staff.
On Monday Mr Hall received a sudden cancellation of his son's upcoming party.
"My son was devastated, he’s really into football at the moment, he was really excited," Mr Hall said.
"He was really upset when he found out," he added.
Dance teacher Tom Conroy regularly rented a studio at Active Arena.
On 2 October he said he received a text which said his planned evening class had to be cancelled due to a “power cut”.
Mr Conroy had another group booking on 4 October, and believed it was still on, as he had not heard otherwise.
But when he and his class turned up, the arena was shut and a note was in the window which said the site was closed due to "unforeseen circumstances".
He said he was “fairly annoyed”.
“I am thankful we had no new dancers as that would’ve been embarrassing.”
Mr Conroy said he had had "no communication" from the staff at Active Arena.
"I’ve not heard a thing," he added.
"They're taking the mick really a little bit."
