Police urge football fans to drink responsibly

Football fans are being urged to watch the Euro 2024 games "responsibly".
The States of Jersey Police said some people might drink more than they typically would due to multiple football matches being played in one evening.
The force has asked fans to "drink responsibly" and not to compromise their safety or that of others.
Officers also advised that people should have a plan for getting home.
'Consider alternatives'
Police said: "Whether you’re cheering on your team from the comfort of your home or joining fellow supporters at local pubs, we urge you to drink responsibly.
"Always have a plan for getting home and consider alternatives to driving if you’ve been drinking.
"Let’s celebrate the spirit of football and ensure a safe and enjoyable Euros for all."
