Town bus service gets dedicated stops

A bus service on the island is changing how it operates for passengers.
LibertyBus said its TownLink service would stop at dedicated locations on its route around St Helier from Tuesday.
Passengers had previously been able to hail and board the bus from anywhere on its journey since the service began two years ago.
The service connects central parts of the town including the waterfront, library and the hospital.
The move coincides with the company's announcement some services would not charge any fares until the end of the month as part of Alternative Transport Week.
Route 20 and 24 will be free of charge until 31 May, LibertyBus said.
'Important service'
Kevin Hart, managing director of LibertyBus, said the idea was about encouraging more people to use public transport.
LibertyBus is run by Tower Transit UK in partnership with the Government of Jersey.
Constable Andy Jehan, Minister for Infrastructure, said the bus was an "important service".
"We need to ensure islanders can get around town with ease, without hassle, and the TownLink service joins together so many of our key landmarks," he said.
